Creamy Acres Farm
When is a farm not just a farm? When it has greenhouses, barnyard activities for kids, landscaping services, and some of the region's best Halloween haunted houses. Oh, and of course, cows. That's what started the whole thing.

A working farm should have cows and goats and pigs and chickens and that’s what you’ll find at Creamy Acres Farm. This family-owned venture invites your family to spend the day and experience life on a farm. Take the little ones for a walk along Barnyard Walk and they’ll get up close and personal with the resident animals.

Creamy Acres’ also boasts one of the area’s largest greenhouses with a wide selection of bedding plants, pond plants, perennials and other things you need to get your own garden going and growing. And if you have a brown thumb, the staff, who knows a thing or two about growing stuff can help you solve your gardening problems.

And what’s a farm without farm-fresh eggs? You can get hen-fresh eggs along with honey and home made jellies at the farm’s locally grown center.

But there’s more to this farm than just farming. Come fall, it is one of the region’s hottest destinations for Halloween pumpkins and haunted houses. Several cornstalk mazes, one that is tot-friendly and another for more grown-up family members, provide fun and giggles for everyone. And when it comes to pumpkins, Creamy Acres has oodles of them. Whether you want them for baking pies or carving out a jack-o-lantern, searching through the pumpkin patch is a fun family activity.

BRING THE FAMILY

The best way to get  your Halloween pumpkin is to pick your own.  Every Saturday in October, you can take a farm wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and wander through the fields to pick the one that the whole family likes.

COME PREPARED

Creamy Acres' celebrates Halloween in a big way with its "Night of Terror" named the best haunted house of 2007.  But it might be a little intense for the little ones so leave the youngsters at home.

WHO KNEW

The largest pumpkin pie ever made was over five feet in diameter and weighed over 350 pounds. It used 80 pounds of cooked pumpkin, 36 pounds of sugar, 12 dozen eggs and took six hours to bake.
