For six generations, the Lee family has been growing sweet, juicy fruits, crisp, snappy veggies and turkeys so tasty you’ll want to gobble it up. Throughout the growing months, you can head into the fields and load up baskets of whatever is ripe. If they grow it, you can pick it and they grow lots of Jersey Fresh produce – peas, sweet corn, spinach, cherries, peaches, all kinds of berries and lots more. It is a good idea to call ahead to make sure what you want is ready for picking. And when Halloween rolls around, it is all about pumpkins . . . big pumpkins, small pumpkins, just-the-right-size pumpkins.

But it is the Lee’s turkeys that bring people from around the region to their farm. No matter how big or small your family is, they have a turkey that will fit on your table. And if even the smallest turkey is too big, just select your favorite parts. Fresh turkeys are available October – January 2. The rest of the year, the turkeys are frozen. And the only time you have to place an advance order for an oven-ready bird is Thanksgiving and Christmas.

City slicker kids, as well as country-grown youngsters will enjoy tours of the Lee farm. Hayride and walking tours will keep the young’uns fascinated.

BRING THE FAMILY

Even little ones can get to know farm life with the walking and hayride tours through the fields. There are different programs for different ages, starting with the pre-kindergarten set.

COME PREPARED

This is one time when Fido has to stay at home.  Pets are not permitted.  Also, if you want a prepared turkey, Thanksgiving through Christmas, you'll have to order one in advance.

WHO KNEW

The belief that turkeys are so dumb that during a rainstorm they will look up into the sky until they drown is a myth.  They are no smarter or dumber than other comparable animals.  The reason they look up during a rainstorm is because of a genetic nervous disorder called tetanic torticollar spasms.  And who knew that?

SUPPORT

Buying locally-grown food and produce not only supports famly farms, but because they are close by, there is less shipping which means less gas usage and less carbon emissions and well, you get the idea.

TAKE PUBLIC TRANSIT

No stops withing walking distance of location.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Even turkeys like things neat and clean.  So please don't litter and use trash cans.
