Bring your kayak or canoe right to the end of Park Street, load in using the paved ramp and then spend the afternoon paddling along the waterways of Crosswick Creek and the Trenton-Hamilton-Bordentown Marsh a freshwater tidal marsh on the Delaware River. Keep going and you’ll pass one of the locks of the Delaware-Raritan canal and explore the steep bluffs along the banks of Crosswicks Creek. Keep your eyes out for swooping swallows... and during the summer months, you’ll see oodles of wild rice and spatterdock (also known as a cow lily).
At the edges of the boat ramp are picnic benches where you can chill out before or after you hit the river. Before you decide to load in, check the tide charts because the waters can rise as much as 8 feet.
