Look! Up in the sky. It’s a bird . . . it’s a plane . . . it’s you! It’s you skydiving.

If “thrillseeker” is your middle name, the folks at Freefall Adventures will help you live up to it. And with their outstanding record, you can leap into the air with abandon, knowing that your safety is their top priority.

First-timers might want to start out with a tandem dive which means you’ll be strapped on to one of their (very!) experienced instructors. After you reach jumping altitude in one of Freefall Adventures turbine equipped planes, you’ll leap into the air for a 60 second freefall before your instructor pulls the chute for a breathtaking float down to earth.

If you’re hooked and want to do it again and again, you can sign up for skydiving lessons. Freefall Adventures offers what they call Advanced Freefall Progression which follows all the rules and guidelines of the United States Parachute Association guidelines. During the 10-session training program, you’ll get the safety guidelines, skills and dive training to become a licensed skydiver.

If you can round up a group of similarly adventurous friends, Freefall Adventures has planes that can accommodate groups of 5 to 25 jumpers so you can have a nice little get-together in the sky. And if memories aren’t enough, or if you want proof of your daredevilish behaviors to up your cool factor among your friends, the skydiving photographer/videographer can capture your whole experience -- from the initial look of terror on your face to that inevitable look of pure joy -- for posterity.

BRING THE FAMILY

Some things just aren't meant for little ones and this is one of them. Sky divers must be at least 18 years of age -- and be prepared to prove it.

COME PREPARED

For safety's sake, the maximum weight for skydiving is 250 lbs.  So you might want to weigh in at home before you sign up.

WHO KNEW

Since Freefall Adventures made their first jump in 1984, they have trained more than 250,000 people in the sport of skydiving.  In 2005, they set a World Record when they trained and then took 400 people in the air for the world's largest tandem skydive.
